As Founder and Executive Director, I am grateful to our board of directors and their role in advancing our mission. Their continued support is vital to our success.
Our organization’s mission is about more than just the work we do – it’s about the lives we impact, the communities we serve, and the lasting change we create together. None of this would be possible without their leadership and commitment, especially when it comes to fundraising.
It is not just about asking for financial support – it’s about building relationships, inspiring others to join our cause, and making sure that those who can help understand how their contribution creates meaningful impact.
The Board’s Caribbean Night Reception Fundraiser helped to make all the difference in how we engage with new and existing donors and ensure the long-term sustainability of our mission.
As the board continues with events like these and we reflect on our collective achievements and the path ahead, I am reminded of just how powerful this board is, and how essential their continued support is to our work and mission.
MESSAGE FROM OUR BOARD TREASURER
On July 11th, friends and supporters gathered at the KID Museum for Extra-ordinary Birthdays’ first fundraising reception, Caribbean Nights—and what a night it was!
Guests were welcomed by the lively rhythm of Caribbean drums, vibrant tropical décor, and an electric atmosphere that set the stage for an unforgettable evening. The night was filled with island-inspired food and cocktails, exciting games, and a full dance floor that kept everyone engaged and entertained throughout the event.
A heartfelt presentation by our founder underscored the importance of our mission—bringing birthday joy to children experiencing homelessness. Thanks to the generosity of those present, we were able to raise over $10,000 through donations, ticket sales, and games.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and supported the event, and to our incredible sponsors. Your contributions are helping to make birthdays extra special for children in need, and your ongoing support is essential to the continued success of our mission. Together, we are creating moments of joy and hope that will last a lifetime for these children. Thank you for being part of this meaningful work!
